Company History

Heron Consulting was established in 2005 having identified a need in the market for specialised consultancy services for medical practices. We started as a home based company with husband and wife team, Chris and Teresa Tansell. Initially, the intention was to carry out project-based work, assessing and advising practices on how best to employ technology. This included making use of 3rd parties to implement our recommendations but ultimately we felt that many of them were failing to meet our standards for timely delivery. So we increasingly took on more and more of the delivery and support until ultimately we were delivering and end to end service.

Our team

From our humble beginnings we have now grown to a team of 6, comprised mainly of technical staff. So often seeking technical assistance can be like talking to someone in another language and, for that reason, we carefully select our staff based not only on technical ability but also on phone manner and user-friendliness!
